Houndog Sighthound Dog Rescue.

This project was fuelled by a passion for supporting sighthound dog rescue efforts, aiming to shine a spotlight on these often overlooked companions while finding them the loving homes they deserve. Sighthounds, unfortunately, fill up rescue centres across the UK, largely due to their history in dog racing and hunting. In crafting the identity for the charity, I drew inspiration from the timeless allure of sighthounds, celebrated for their grace and beauty throughout history, often immortalised in classic art. Embracing the elegance of 19th-century oil paintings, I sought to infuse the brand with a sense of sophistication and charm. The logo design was a nod to the vintage serif typefaces found on greyhound racing posters, playfully incorporating elements reminiscent of sighthound ears and tails, capturing the essence of these remarkable dogs.
